Aunt Irene was everything a little boy could hope for growing up. I could do no wrong by her. She had a warm heart that always made me smile. She leaves me the wonderful memories of playing at her home and sitting on her lap. I can still smell the grass on a hot day there. She has won a strong place in Heaven where I will see her again one day.

I remember Irene Kirstein Presley from my youth in the mountains of Western Carolina. She was the daughter of my great Uncle Leander who was a brother to my grandmother, Adit Kirstein Nesbitt. I remember Irene being a beautiful, kind and gentle person in my life and greatly loved by my mother, Gertrude Nesbitt Baynard.
