Rust, Irene Elenor (Miller) Age 87 of Bloomington, passed away May 11, 2008. Preceded in death by husband, Henry; sisters, brothers, grandson, Alyxander and great- granddaughter, Jaideen. Survived by daughters, Theresa (Buzz) Anderson, Marie Ghant, and Barbara (Marc) Anderson; sons, Roger (Lynn) Rust, James (Donna) Rust, David (Sandra) Rust; brother, Edward (Shirley) Miller; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great- grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Irene worked as a cook for the Church of the Ascension School in North Mpls. She was known for baking the best cookies and cinnamon rolls! Irene loved to help others. Her gentleness, caring and love of God are her legacy. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, May 15, 10 AM at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 9900 Lyndale Ave S, Bloomington. Mrs. Rust was the very first person to teach me how to use a commercial dishwasher. I loved being in the kitchen with her at Ascension Shcool. It is my belief that those early positive experinces in the school cafetria with Mrs. Rust are the very reason why I work in the resturant busines now. I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
I will always remember Irene as a sweet, kind, gentle, sincere, loving woman. I remember every time I saw her, she always greeted me with a smile and a hug & kiss. I will never forget that. She was a beautiful woman and I was blessed to know her.
