Irene Shaski

Irene M. Shaski, of Burton, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on her 92nd birthday on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Bob Roberts officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to New Life C.F. Missions, Carriage Town or Calvary Community Church. Visitation
2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Irene was born on February 13, 1921 in Leicester, England, the daughter of Fred and Eva Hodgett. She married Joseph Shaski on April 22, 1944. They moved to the states in 1946 with daughter, Carol. Irene was loved by her family and many friends. She lived an unselfish life, always putting others needs above her own, treating everyone she met with kindness and respect. Her entire life was centered around her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memories, Carol and Paul Snider,
