Not sure what to say?

I thought of Irene on this Maundy Thursday, 2023. We sat next next to each other in the choir at St Andrews for possibly 10 years before I moved. She also helped me with some details on Tidal Power period way back when in Maine for an article I wrote in 2000. I never spoke with her about the rest of her life besides family...amazing that she went to college and taught French. She had a wonderful long life and I am privileged that I came to know her. I am so sorry we lost touch.

So sorry to hear of Irene's passing. I have very much enjoyed our corresponding for the past several years. My sympathy to Ike and Pam and the rest of the family. Irene was one off the last of the Brown cousins. She was a gem. She was also, with Elizabeth, a great clown.

I will miss my lovely friend, Irene. My sympathies to Ike & Pam and all of Irene's family.

Peace

To the family of Irene:

I didn't know Irene but I wish I had known of her ten years ago when more than 300 hundred Oak Grove graduates reunited. A small group has met for lunch once a month ever since and it would have been wonderful if Irene could have joined us. I grew up in Warner, NH and graduated from Oak Grove in 1957. Irene might have known my Dad who served in the Senate and House and on the Council for many years, Jack Chandler, from Warner.

Nothing but fond memories of Hank and Irene.
