My condolences to the Slagle family. I was their neighbor on Seaview Ave growing up. My parents were Blanche and Stanley Grandfield and my brother Richard was friends with Irene and her sister Betty. I´m sorry to hear of Irene´s passing. She was a lovely person. Christine Grandfield

We had great times together growing up. Irene was my cousin and we spent Christmas together every year in Bridgeport. But the best was her birthday when it fell on a weekend since her birthday was Halloween. Trick or Treat in the afternoon, celebrate and go out again and collect more goodies. May you now find rest my dear cousin in the Palm of God's Hand and sleep in peace. I will never forget you! Love and miss you.
