Condolences to the family. What a long and rich life she had.

Always a big smile on her face; always a happy twinkle in her eyes; and always the happiest, loving spirit. My sister, Cathy, married into the Balderrama family over 50 years ago. Sadly Cathy passed away just a few days after Irene's 100th Birthday Celebration...but I know the two of them are together in Heaven...making tamales, tacos and Menudo, and sharing love and laughter! Irene was a Gem with the biggest heart. I feel blessed to have known her and to have shared wonderful family...

I was so sad to hear of you mom's passing. She was so sweet and kind. Your dad worked for my ex husband for a few years. I remember your mom invited all the employees over for a delicious Mexican dinner. Never have I had better Mexican since then. When I had a C Section, she called me and said she could come over and care for me. She was one in a million. An angel on earth and now one in heaven. I know you have memories to cherish which I hope brings you comfort at this time.

Irene was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend to many. She will always be in our hearts and so very missed every day.

Irene was the most beautiful soul I ever met. She was my mother's best friend and I called her "my 2nd mother". She and my Dad were the worst of enemies (but ONLY when playing Wahoo). It was a competion game with Irene and mom pitted against Peter and my Dad (Bob Turner). Oh but they had great fun! Our family will miss her teribly but I know she's having a great reunion in Glory.
