Iris Amaro, 69, of Hartford, CT passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital. Iris was born in Bronx, NY and was the daughter of the late Ernesto, Sr. and Petra (Sanchez) Amaro. She loved to dance and salsa music. Iris was a wonderful party planner, she made beautiful decorations. Iris was dedicated to her family. Always loving and caring with a smile and a warm hug. She has left a void in our hearts. But, Iris will never be forgotten.
Iris is survived by her three sisters Gloria Garay, Gladys Jurden and her husband Elmer and Lucy Amaro, her three brothers Felix Rivera, Luis Amaro and Ernesto Amaro, Jr. Iris was like a mother to her nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Iris will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 with a prayer service at 7pm at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be private.
