It has been many years since I was in the fourth grade (1963-1964), but your Mother made that one of my best years in school. She was the most caring teacher that I had and I still appreciate her today for the foundation she gave me in spelling and using the dictionary. She was a great teacher and I still remember sitting in Beth Horn Methodist listening to her play for Sunday Services. She was always smiling and always had a kind word. Mrs. Davis was one of the best, most dedicated teachers I ever had. I remember her class so well. My spelling and reading skills are a direct result of her efforts. I know she was suffering in her later years.
