Iris Jo Henwood

Joy - a nickname that suited her well. Her smile, her chuckle - all remembered.

Iris always lit up the room with her infectious smile. Her faith and and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her. We will miss her presence in class immensely, but she will always be with us in spirit and memory, and, in our hearts.

I had the privilege of working with Iris during my early years at LDC. She was fun loving and so very dedicated to her students and their families. My heart goes out to you, Jim, and to all who knew and loved her.

Iris had an infectious laugh! My roommate for two years at Albion _ I can hear her cheery, understanding voice. She dealt with lots of issues, and now she is at peace. Ila Sloan Leavy

I was very sorry to hear of Iris's passing. I worked in her classroom the first year at LDC. She taught me many things which I still remember to this day. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

So sad to hear that Iris has passed. She was a special person and a wonderful teacher. She made a difference in the lives of individuals who were lucky to know her. My thoughts are with her loved ones at this time.

I worked with Iris years ago when I started teaching at Lincoln Developmental Center. I was a new teacher and she was such a role model for me, so dedicated, Iris truly loved her students. I will never forget her! We're so sorry for your loss, Jim and family.

Iris had a smile and personality to light

My thoughts and prayers are with the Henwood family as they grieve and mourn for their loved one. iris was a very special, friendly person and one I enjoyed being with.
