Iris McClain- Pendleton Rosa Iris McClain, 81 and her husband Dr. Eugene "Gene" McClain passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at their home in Pendleton where they lived for over 35 years. She was a homemaker after working for 15 years at Clemson University. August 28th would have marked their 60th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her daughter, Chris Navaee and her husband Shahnam Navaee of Statesboro, GA and a son, Rey McClain and his wife Kelly of West Pelzer. In addition to her two children, she is survived by brothers, Miguel Salva of Lorraine, OH, Raymond Salva of Coltâ??s Neck, NJ; sister, Diane Tilton of Ocala, FL; in Puerto Rico, her sisters Margarita Sciabarra, Oly Salva, Rosalina Salva and a brother Salvador Salva. Also in Puerto Rico are half brothers, Hector Salva and Junior Salva along with her half-sisters, Ada Salva, Ann Salva and Nereida Salva. Graveside services will be Thursday at 2pm at Pendleton Presbyterian Church Cemetery with memorial service to follow in the church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimerâ??s Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.
