Olson, Iris Dorothy age 93 of New Brighton, formerly of Duluth. Preceded in death by husband, Walter N.P. Olson; daughter, Sharon; parents, Claude & Mildred Blood; and sister, Marjory Conn. Survived by daughters, Sandra (Harley) Olstad and Carol (Lance) Christie; grandchildren, Carrie (Erik) Sueker, Christie Olstad, Heather (Dan) Hardman, Katie (Greg) Gilles, Shann (Shawn) Kurth and Jay Olstad; great- grandchildren, Mitchell and Kaia Sueker, Alison Iris and Lucy Gilles and Ryan Hardman; brother, Elsworth Blood; other loving cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who deeply loved her family. A longtime member of Lester Park Methodist Church in Duluth, an active volunteer wherever she resided. Special thanks to Dr. Visaya and the New Brighton Dialysis staff for giving her an extra 14 months of life. We thank God for Iris' life. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Kidney or Diabetes Foundations. Interment at a later date at Park Hill Cemetery in Duluth. Family of Iris - My mom, Lois, lived down the hall from Iris on Palmer Drive. She considered her a dear friend and will really miss her. My mom also appreciated your phone calls keeping her informed of Iris' health after she had to move out. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. Iris was a wonderful person
