I just wanted to let you know how much your mother meant to me as a student of hers at the Hemenway school. Because of her love of art and her ability to touch all students I wanted to be just like her. I went to school to become an Art teacher and still remember all that she taught me.

Dear Greg and Nancy,
We were deeply saddened to read of the passing of your wonderful mother, Iris. She was without doubt the most creative and lovable art teacher Canton Schools ever had. She touched the lives of countless children over many years, and she will be remembered by them for many more years to come, She was a real treasure. We were so lucky to know her and work with her.
