Susan and family and friends, you are in my thoughts and prayers as you celebrate your mother's life here on earth, and her new life with Jesus.

I was sorry to hear of the death of your mother Iris. She and my mother were friends at Garfield School and later my mother Vera Woodford married you mother's cousin Clarence Anderson. We met at family reuions usually in Storm Lake Iowa. I was sad to hear of her passing. I remember Susan best as we were friends at these picnics.

Mrs. Stokes was my elementary teacher in Neola way back when. I later saw her in her home as a homecare nurse. It was great remembering our 'school days' although she did not remember me as a student (thanks goodness) she did remember the 'boys' in the class. We had some laughs.
My deepest sympathy to you.

To the family of Iris Stokes;
Hope you memories bring you comfort during this time. I had Mrs. Stokes as a teacher at Neola Public School. I have always remembered her. Besides being a good teacher, she was always dressed up and wore pretty jewelry and high heels. At that time the only teacher that wore high heels.
