Iris passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019. Iris was a resident of Louisiana at the time of passing. She graduated from McNeese Junior College and then continued to pursue her B.S. Degree at USL, now ULL, in Lafayette. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 1PM at Henning Memorial Untied Methodist Church in Sulphur. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, from 4-8 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at Henning Memorial United Methodist Church from 11 AM until the time of service. Memorial donations may be made to Wakefield Memorial Methodist Church of Cameron, Louisiana or Henning Memorial United Methodist Church in Sulphur, Louisiana.
Iris was an inspiration for me when I came to teach at Frasch. I will always remember her as such a great mentor and a wonderful friend, and all the yearswith her and our school family. Rest In Peace dear friend, and condolences to Leonard and the family.

Our whole family loved Iris so much. She taught first grade to some of my younger siblings in Cameron. I think she taught earlier with my dad or mother, Whitney and Clara Broussard.
My condolences to the family at the loss of this beautiful soul.

I grew up next door to Aunt Bessie and Uncle Nick. Aunt Iris was my second cousin. One of the sweetest people I know. May she rest in peace. Love you Aunt Iris.
