Not sure what to say?

Irma was the spitfire of our womens group and we all miss her spirit, her energy, and her dedication to the group.

Mrs. Cohen was my math teacher at Jericho High School for two years during the 1970s. I took Advanced Algebra and AP Calculus with Mrs. Cohen. I thought of her today because her and my alma mater, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has been posting stories of women who graduated from RPI on Facebook during Women's History Month and after seeing these stories, did a search on the internet, and found this obituary.

I had a 36 year career in the aerospace industry which I started...

I am writing on behalf of my parents , Mimi and Sidney Yeuson of blessed memory. My mother was very close to Irma. I had talked to Irma 2 or3 times since my mother died. She was such a character! Irma was the guiding light of our JCC women's group. Our shock and grief is immeasurable. The group will not be the same without her. She was also my role model. Thank you, Irma, for your dedication to the group and for allowing us to know you.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Please except my condolences for your loss.
