My condolences to Irma's family. She lived a long and productive life. I was a good friend of her late son, Eddie. We went to Newton High School and Brandeis together. Through Ed, I got to know Irma. She was a very sweet lady, with great compassion, intelligence and wit. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Our condolences to the family: Irma was a gracious lady who was loved by all. She was an extraordinary teacher for many years and loved what she did. I was indeed honored to know her as a colleague and friend Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her.

I'm sorry to hear of Irma's passing. I am a longtime childhood freind of Jeff Devore. Although i wasn't a student of hers at Temple Shalom, I remember that just about every Sunday she made it a point to say hi to me whenever I passed her classromm at the end of the day.
