Irma Fennema

Miss Fennema...a true joy...a blessing..my fourth grade teacher who taught me to love birds, to love the stars, and taught me that being a great teacher is a gift!! I am a teacher of 24 years and am grateful for that great role model she was. I ran into her numerous times over the years and she always had that smile and graceful quiet voice!! What a blessing to have been able to be her student and what a blessing to have learned so much from her, about school stuff and so much more !!

Irma was my 6th grade teacher at Mayfield Christian. I will admit to having a crush on her do to her soft voice beautiful smile and overall kindness to one and all.As a Calvin Crc member I remember her coming to evening services and getting another chance to my former crush. I have also taught for 40 years and my thre kids are teachers. She may have been the influence for that many generations. She will be missed

Miss Fennema was my 4th grade teacher in the early eighties And was one of my favorites. She truly loved what she did and taught me a lot And I loved going to school and being in her classroom. She made a great impact in my life and in many other student's lives.

I had Miss Fennema in 1st and 6 th grade at Mayfield Christian. We kept in touch through out the years. I so enjoyed our friendship. Our class in 9 th grade dedicated our year book to her.
