Not sure what to say?

I am so sad to learn of Irv's passing. He was a friend of my father's in Philadelphia and it was always such a treat for me when he would stop by to chat during the time we were both at Macalester College. I will never forget after my father passed, Irv was ever the gentleman and had such kind words to share with me in my grief. Irv was legendary in everything he did - such a great, kindhearted man who lit up every room he was in with his beautiful smile and gregarious nature. It was such...

I called him when years later when his wife and him were managing the Boys and Girls club of St Cloud Minnesota. I had a great bond with him I will always remember him as a wonderful man. Irv was my favorite sports person for 60 years....since he was drafted by the Eagles. He was always a gentleman on the few occasions that I met him. He even called me from Minnesota about 10 year ago and signed a jersey that I had sent to him.
I lost someone who meant so much to me. God Bless you my friend. #27 forever
