It was a joy to know him and visiting him at his home in the Village was an eeng i will never forget. Irv was as dear a friend and big brother as one could ever have. Love you always, Doug

After six years I finally took the emotional leap and walked in Washington Square Park our neighborhood park where we walked a zillion times over the years.

I adored Irv. He was kind, generous of spirit, and very talented. One if the best experiences of my life was studying with him in Italy. I know he's got his mini notebook and writing notes right now.

One could never ask for a better friend or a big brother than Irv. We still talk to each other. His voice is always fresh, full of humor....and drama when effective. Sending love to you Irv wherever your journey is taking you today.

I have such fond memories of Irv. He was a sweet and honest and talented man. I loved studying with him in Italy. He had a love for teaching and a passion for writing. He will always hold a place in my heart.

My Buddy Irv, I can't believe it has been four years! As you well know, you have never been far from my thoughts. Your voice is always with me, with your humor, with your guidance, with talks of politics..... Paul Muni and Henry Fonda. Miss you always big brother. Hoping your journey, wherever you are today, has been fascinating. Love, Doug
