I last saw Jack when he and his wife along with his sister and her husband joined us for a celebration of my mom's 90th birthday. We were so happy that they could all join us. At that time he was sporting a long white beard down to his belt. I had hoped to visit him this year when I learned he had moved close to his wife's family since my husband and I travel frequently along I-5. My father, Bill, was his uncle and he always enjoyed talking with him when we got together, as well as enjoyed...

Jack and Kathryn were our neighbors here in Hornitos after they moved from Foresta. Bob and Jack loved to visit about their days in Yosemite. When they moved to Atwater we had the best visits with them there also. We are so sorry we were unable to attend the service today. I do the driving now and my back was having a really bad day. I did not know Mr. Knieriemen personally, but I do know some of his family. He was a very loved, very special man who married into a family and became the best husband and father any of them could have wished for! My condolences to all his children, and the entire family. He meant the world to them.

Jack Knieriemen is my Step-dad (Dad). Couldn't have asked for a better person for that role. When I was in high school him and I were going to go to Yosemite Valley to meet Mom for lunch. When we got up on Big Oak Flat in the Jeep we ran out of gas. So we used the pullout to park the Jeep and he said let's go get some gas. So I figured we were going to walk the road.
