Not sure what to say?

We played together as kids at LaPalma Park with Bobby Hatfield, Bobby Shultz, Larson and Van was there too. That was 1951. We were big Anaheim fans from 1959 thru 1975 when I coached the American Legion baseball team there and later when his son played shortstop for Katella HS. I miss so many of them now when it seems like they've all left. I wonder if Mickey's still here?

I was on the football teams of "56"&"57" and graduated with Irv in "58." He was a remarkable athlete, I was not. I will remember always that he treated me like a "starter." Bless you Irv.

I was very saddened to learn of Irv's passing as I considered Irv a very good friend. While we only played football together for one year at great old AUHS, Irv went out of his way to make me feel accepted at AUHS. He and I would see each other several times a year, until he moved away, and we would always stop to talk and reminisce about school, family and football.

Last year while I was recovering from knee surgery, Irv called me from PA and we talked for over an hour. We talked...

Just recently I have been able to talk to Irv while he was in his truck making deliveries to Wall-Mart. It was great to talk to him and remember the good days spent together at AUHS. We talked about everything, family, friends and football.I have always felt that I was the cause of one rare defeat by a beach school because I jumped off sides. Irv, being the leader he was assured me that it was his fault. He called the wrong play and our drive was stopped. None the less we both heard about it...

I was saddened and shocked to hear of Irv's passing. Because the teachers always arranged their classes in alphabetical order, we "K's" stuck together. Irv was a very carrying and compassionate gentleman. Unfortunately, I will be out of town for his memorial but rest assured that he and his family will be in my prayers. The family can take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Our deepest sympathy to Irv's family and friends. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all. We will be unable to attend the Memorial but will be thinking of Irv, AUHS and the good old days.

Irv and I became very close friends in the 8th grade. We maintained this closeness over our school years and into the years after we graduated from High School. Irv and I spoke at least weekly and sometimes more over the last number of years as he was on the road. Irv was just a special person; he always had a smile for everyone and was thoughtful and kind to all his friends. I will miss him greatly and will always remember the fun times and many many laughs we had over our years...

Sorry to hear about Irv's passing. I was just thinking the other day that this is the 50 year anniversary of our very good AUHS Championship football team that Irv and MacDonald were the quarterbacks for. Many fond memories.

I was saddened and shocked to hear of Irv's sudden passing while still in prime years and remember well the happy days at Anaheim High where he commanded well the football team to many victories. His pleasant ways, smiles and leadership are fondly remembered. My heart goes out in prayer for him and to his family. May God comfort them through this time.
