Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for the family's loss. I remember he and my dad at the Humboldt County Fair Races running around and handicapping. I am sure they are at it once again.

I remember how wicked funny Irv always was...and he had the best smile ever.. I will miss him.

Prayers and love to The Parlato Family. I have many fond and loving stories and memories of our times at Parlato's It was such a privilege and honor to be the first woman to tend bar there. I always felt like family love to All . Rachele Robert-Reynolds

Thinking of you with prayers and sympathy.
Loretta Alexandre

Irv and I met at USF , He was a wonderful friend for 57 years. We shared many great times together at the track, meals, and phone calls. I loved him and will miss him forever. my love to all his family.

So very sorry to read of Irv's passing. I absolutely adored his parents and he was an awesome guy. Whenever my family would be at Parloto's to eat, he always gave my boys a set of baseball cards. He had a great smile and was a people person. He loved his customers and made it a point to greet and visit with them, a kind person. He will be missed by many, but not forgotten. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Remember and hold dear the lessons...

Good by Irv I can't say we saw eye to eye but you respected me and I respected you . I will miss you as an icon and as a boss as an employee I did my best for you and the family you supported over the years your parents were the salt of the earth . I can talk for hours but just say Godspeed

I first met Irv while working at the Humboldt County Fair, some 25 years ago, and he immediately impressed me with his overall love of horse racing, and,in particular, horse racing at Ferndale. Irv was so welcoming and generous that he made me feel like I was a friend, rather than an interloper from So Cal. He took time from his busy schedule at the restaurant to inquire how things were going at the fair - and to see if we needed anything. He always went out of his way to make sure his...

Barbara and I are saddened to hear of Irv's passing. We have nothing but fond memories of dining at Parlato's and visiting with Irv and Marie. A plate of spaghetti topped with Marie's spaghetti sauce garnished with mushrooms sautéed in butter and garlic was heavenly. The steaks, seafood, boned fried chicken etc. all were beyond compare. R.I.P. Irv we'll miss you.
