Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Irv's passing. We exchanged Christmas cards every year, right up until the end. He told me he was not doing well in Dec 2009. I was wondering why the card came back this year. I was hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

If it wasn't for Irv I would never have made it as far as I did on Wall St. He always was there for me.

The world has lost one of it's best citizens.

My deepest sympathies to all his family and close friends.

Irv, I will remember you as the most humble, kindest, most intelligent man I have met in my 29 years on Wall Street. You made work a pleasure and your patience with my questions was endless. My deepest sympathy to your family and friends.

I have just learned the sad news about Irv's passing after such a courageous struggle.
I was very fortunate that Irv was my first boss in the Research Dept. at the New York Fed. He taught me enough to keep me going as an Economist for forty years afterward. Happily, we kept in touch throughout that time. I had tremendous respect for him. He was a highly competent, briliant, and wonderful person whom I shall miss tremendously. My deepest sympathy to his dear family and other friends.

To Mr. Auerbach's family. I'm very sorry for your loss. I was very fond of Mr. Auerbach. He was kind and sweet and very much a "gentleman". He always had such a positive attitude- even during his difficult times. I always looked forward to his visits to our office as did all the other office staff. We will miss him!

Irv was a good friend at Lanston to all. I learned so much about business and life from my pal. He even taught me how horrible I was as a hiker in Maine. He was gone with the wind with his son, beforeI even got my footing.
I am blessed to have known such a kind man.My sincerest sympathy to Irv's family.

Freddie and I express our deepest condolences on the passing of such a sweet man.
