Dear Irene, please accept our most sincere condolences on the passing of Irv. As well as I knew him he was a fabulous man. I know he will be sorely missed by your large and loving family. We love you. Sue and Neil.

Irving was a great friend that cared about all the citizens that lived in Greensboro, NC. I met him years ago while working on a project for the Trevi Fountain Club and Restaurant. The Guilford County Health Department required several new pieces of new kitchen equipment to be installed. So, the late Richard Bowling and I went to see Irving. Sad to learn of Irving's passing. He has always been an inspiration of resilience, kindness and generosity. I met Irving at the Mantleworks in 1975 while we and a large, amazing group of volunteers, planned the very first Fun Fourth Festival held July 4th that year. His gentle demeanor and sweet smile were always a welcome force in any room. Over the years I would hear his 'voice', the speech aide that he used, in a restaurant or gathering and look to see his kind face and spectacles. He...
