Irving was a great friend that cared about all the citizens that lived in Greensboro, NC. I met him years ago while working on a project for the Trevi Fountain Club and Restaurant. Sad to learn of Irving's passing. He has always been an inspiration of resilience, kindness and generosity. I met Irving at the Mantleworks in 1975 while we and a large, amazing group of volunteers, planned the very first Fun Fourth Festival held July 4th that year. His gentle demeanor and sweet smile were always a welcome force in any room.
