Not sure what to say?

Charlie, Harriett and Valerie,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your Dad. As children we were often at the drugstore. My parents (Dr. Frank and Tillie Marino) would send us there, either to buy something, pick up an order, or simply wait for them to pick us up! It was a safe place to wait after school - and not once did Irv kick us out! We knew all the employees and they knew us! Your Dad always had a kind way about him and he knew the best remedies...even if it was a last-minute...

I was on the internet checking out "grannicks" and it brought me here-I am Nathan, Maurice's son from Atlanta. In the 70's I stayed at his home prior to my trip to Israel. I enjoyed it a lot. He was a real mensch. About 10 years go we met in Atlanta and a couple of years ago we exchanged a couple of letters. My condolensces to all of you. I loved his enthusiasm for life.

Sincerely,
Nathan Grannick

At age 10 I lived across the avenue in Sound View Court and found Grannick's Pharmacy a source of 5 cent cokes and 10 cent comics.
I will always remember Mr. Grannick and how nice he was to me.

Dear Harriet, Charles and Valerie,
My nearly 89 year old Dad who was good friends with your Dad, emailed me your Dad's obituary. I know you will miss him, but think of the amazing memories of him and your Mom.
He was always a delight when I went into the pharmacy and sometimes called me Catherine as is my mother's name.
Blessings as you process your loss!
Bob and Bonnie Caie

Charles, Valerie and Harriet my sympathy to you and your family. Your Dad and I worked together on many business affairs for at least 40 years. He was a great guy and we all will miss him. You were fortunate to have him for all those years. Jim MacKay

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Dear Charles, Dee, Valerie, Harriet, and family,

We were saddened to hear of Uncle Irving's passing. It was so kind of Harris to call me, and Howard in turn called Phoebe, Neil, and Margo. Howard has sent word to Maurice via a friend of his in Israel. Maurice is presently in Argentina.
Howard and I have some very fond memories of Irving. He has lived a long life rich in love and family-and our prayers will be with him, Mary, and your entire family.
Much love to all of...

Greenwich has lost another icon from the avenue. My prayers go out to the family. I worked at Grannick's for a year after high school, before I went off to college (1980). That was back when Charlie was downstairs and the two John's were filling rx's. Good times. Mr. Grannick gave me some good advice and had a friendly hello for me everytime I stopped in. I'll never forget him.

Family and Staff, past and present.
Rest easy my friends. Our wonderful Irv will never be forgotten. His gestures of kindness and thoughtful remembrances were a tribute to his character. Very safe in God's keeping.
