Not sure what to say?

I never got to meet Irving but I am married to one of his grandchildren, Peter, whom looked up to Irving in many ways. Peter has often spoken fondly of his memories of Irving and of all of Irvings wonderful, kind, compassionate ways. Many of these qualities I hear about Irving I see in my husband and I feel connected to Irving in this way. Through Peter, I see Irving was an honourable, kind, loyal man with a huge heart. Janet, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Be well.

I am sorry for your loss.
Thank you for your service to our country.
We greatly appreciate the sacrifices you made.

I knew Mr. Howbert from my days at The First National Bank and later Bank One. I loved hearing his stories on the history of Colorado Springs. Many times, Don Haney would join our conversations and what an added treat that was for a young woman who knew nothing of life to be in the presence of such wit and wisdom. What an honor for me to have known this smart, kind, gentle soul and a true gentleman. He now lights up the heavens. Blessings to the family.
