To the Mitchell Family, I have just learned of Irving's passing. I had the honor of working with him throughout the years dating back to 1988 (when he was Mr. Mitchell to me as a very young intern). Peace be with you during this difficult time.

To the Mitchell Family,
I offer my deepest and sincerest sympathies to you at the loss of Irving. I met Irving a number of years ago. His integrity, intelligence and kindness immediately struck me. This is what will be missed dearly by his friends, co-workers, acquaintances. We thank God for him and wish God Speed and his providential care for each of you.

I am saddened to just learn of Irving's passing. I am praying that God will comfort your hearts, uplift your spirits, and carry you through this time of sadness to a place of peace full of wonderful memories.

I just learned over the weekend that Irving had passed. I was so saddened to hear this. We had just reconnected at the begining of the year after losing touch for a period. He was a dear friend and colleague. He served on the Advisory Board for CAU's MPA program and helped mentor many of our students.
