I met Irv in the 1990's when he hired Elderplanning to assist him with Sheila's long term care needs. His goal was to keep her at home as long as possible and, as I recall, he succeeded. He was a devoted husband, caregiver, father and a much-treasured client. I went online today just to look him up, not expecting to find his recent obituary. May he rest in peace --- When he reaches The Gates, they will certainly say "Well done Good and Faithful Servant." God bless his beloved...

Mary Jean and I were saddened to hear of Irv's passing. We have fond memories of an afternoon cruise we took together with Irv and Sheila on "Cadenza" (our 26' sailboat) on Skaneateles Lake over 10 years ago. We will remember them both for years to come.

Wimpy was always a kind presence in my life, and I vividly remember him always taking the time to play with me when I was younger and to welcome me to his home when I was older. He was a gracious man who loved serving others, and he will be missed.

Wimpy was a good friend and a good brother-in-law for many years, from the time I was a young woman visiting my sister Sheila in Syracuse until a few weeks ago, shortly before he died, telling me "to take care of Ben", my husband. Our family remembered him yesterday, at Thanksgiving dinner, with deep affection, looking at photos of family gatherings and events where he was a loving presence. I will think of him often and remember him with love. Ellyn Schiff Berman

Like John, I remember my uncle Wimpy as kind, gentle and always open to our lives and opinions. He had a sort of wry chuckle that would bring out the best in those around him. I'll never forget the winter weeks I spent as a child with him and Aunt Sheila. I knew their home was always open to me - and miss them both. Sending lots of love to Suellen, Sally and all the family -

My uncle was a kind, and generous man who cared deeply about his family and friends. I have especially fond memories of our Thanksgiving holidays together and his keen interest in our lives and our opinions. I am glad I had the opportunity to see him last summer in Charlotte and will always remember him fondly.
