Not sure what to say?

Arleen, Aurthur, Bob and Joyce,
I was stunned and saddened to read about your dad's/husband's passing today in A Local Life in the Post. I was also amazed at how much he has accomplished in Hollywood and in his historical writing. I didn't realize he was a mastermind in show business as well as an actor/singer--the one I encountered, lo those many years ago, at the dinner table at Oregon Avenue. My thoughts are with you and I know he will live in your hearts forever.

Joyce, Arleen, Arthur, and Robert,

I hadn't known Irving very long, but it's clear to me that he leaves a wonderful family who cares for him and whom he has shared much love, and much humor.

My thoughts are with you all.

We loved you very much Uncle Irv and will miss you. You will always hold a very special place in our hearts, and in our children's hearts. With much love,Donna,Steve,David and Sarah(Kaye-Greenberg)

Dear Joyce, Arleen, Arthur and Bob,

We have great regret that we were unable to make it to Irv’s funeral. However, you and your family have not left our hearts over the last several days. We want to express our care and feeling for you and Irv and just came across Irv’s very own words that he used at the end of Reuben’s funeral not so long ago:

“Now his worries are over. All his children and great grandchildren are on their way to a great future for themselves. Much of this...

Joyce, Arleen Arthur, and Robert,
May you know no more sorrow.
We loved and cherished Irv, he lives on in our fond memories of the year we lived in Washington DC.
your whole family welcomed us and helped us as a young couple acclimating in the US.
you are in our thoughts always.
Love and support in your time of sorrow,
From Israel,

Tami and Yaron Sela

To you all i am sorry for your loss, he was a very funny man,
