I watched Irv race when I was a young boy at Utica Rome speedway. I got to know him as a dear friend. I joined him weekly the last years of life. We discussed many things in life. It was very enjoyable setting there with him and seeing many people stopping by to visit with him and talk about his racing years before. He is sadly missed!!

How simply wonderful am man he is. Met him at age 13 at Bill King's in Gloversville, ny. He was SO kind to a confused poor kid who loved racin, and needed guidance. I saw him each and every week at Fonda and he always had time to give me a pep talk. Later he guided Mike Arminio into being a very good racer, over the years. We always used the # 46 due to it being one LESS than Irv's # 47 he was ridin at the time. I sat with Irv at McDonald's in Fultonville in 2002 when mike and I bought...
