My condolences to the family. When my brother Allen Spanier passed away it was Irwin who took time to come to the shiva to comfort me. He was a kind man. I was very sorry to hear of his passing.The community will miss him. Beverly Spanier

The sudden passing of Irwin Za"l affected me a lot.
While in Montreal last month, my wife Rachel and I visited him twice at the hospital. We had no idea that his situation was that critical, and we are still in a state of shock.

my deepest symphathy to the family on the loss of irwin. my late husband worked for him many years ago harold myers. he was a very nice person and has done a lot for the comunity.

Just got the word, a man of many worlds & great deeds. A long time friend. We shared so much laughter & honesty, a piece of us, go with people like Irwin. RIP my friend. Douglas.

Many years ago , I enjoyed doing business with Irwin . He was firm but fair , always kind and always generous and always with a warm smile to accompany his wonderful disposition . He was charitable and always aware of his Jewish Heritage . May good things only be forthcoming for you and for your family .
