I was so sad to read about Irwin on one of the are occasions when I look at the Yale School of Music bulletin. Seems like yesterday we were all happy, crazy kids in New Haven, practicing, going to class, and fooling around. Rona, I'm hoping you will see this. I think of you so often, and hope you are well. To all who cherished Irwin Gage, I add my memories. In 1958, he gave me a suggestion that changed my entire life. He urged me to spend a summer at Harvard, and I did.
