Not sure what to say?

Always sad on the passing of Mr Schmuckler. My teacher and friend.

Irv would help us celebrate Christmas every year, being the ecumenical fellow that he was. My parents, Tom and Marge Hamilton, had a Christmas Eve party for their friends, starting in the 1940's. They loved Irv so much, that they invited him to join. Even after he moved to assisted living, we drove over, picked him up, partied with him, and took him home. Irv could do Christmas with the best of them!!

My wife and I bought the iMac he had at a Goodwill recently. If there is anything on it that someone may want, I can clone the dive and send it to them. Luckily, he did not have it password protected.

When I was in high school, Irv gave me a book to study, which he said would help me with my college boards. The book was a study of Greek and Latin word roots, prefixes, and suffixes. To this day, I can look at a strange word and sometimes guess its meaning. Thanks Irv !!

My eight grade English teacher, that I respected and considered my friend. Would see him off and on and he still knew my name and was pleasant as always. A wonderful man.

I have such important memories of Mr. Schmucker. I am an English Teacher and there isn't a day that his kindness is something I try to give back to my students. God bless you Mr. Schmuckler.

Dave, my brother's home is just across Swamp Creek from the old camp site. We drove Irv through the area just a few years ago, and listened to some stories about the camp. I think it is now a Girl Scout camp. Do you have a photo from camp to post here or send? [email protected] .

Irv was my teacher and friend. We worked together at the YMHA Camp and I was able to contact him last year after some 42 years. Great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed and remembered

So sorry for your loss.
