In the short time I crossed paths with Isaac during the YOBC 2019-2020 season, he left a very positive and lifelong impression on my son and me. His love of helping and encouraging young musicians shined so brightly. We will always remember his kindness, positive energy and genuine caring for YOBC musicians. We will miss Isaac this season.

Isaac was such a gentle, kind person. I will always remember him helping with M&M Sunday (see photo) and how great he was with the kids. He was so patient and fun loving. Our love and prayers go to each member of the Ashton family. As people who have lost our son, and our daughter her brother, we know something of one of the deepest griefs in life. When we started going to Crossing, Isaac and Wintergail would baby sit our children while we went to small group. The children always had a wonderful time and our interactions with Isaac and Wintergail were full of smiles and laughter. We knew the church was right for us when our children were joyful and wanted to come back and Isaac played a huge part in that. Once we started going continually, we loved to watch Wintergail's and Isaac's love grow. It reminded us of us. It was so special....

The thing I remember most about Isaac while in 4h and at Church was how kind he was. He was always accepting and kind to myself and my sister. He was constantly smiling and bringing joy to those around him. My love and prayers are with his family and friends during this hard time.

This is one of my favorite photos with Isaac because it really shows how goofy he was and how much fun we always had when our friends got together. Ill always treasure the memories we made together, at church, at camp, at 4H, no matter where Isaac went laughter and joy always followed. The memory of that joy will echo through the hearts of everyone who had the honor of knowing him for years to come. I have so much love for Isaac and Im so thankful I got to call him my friend. It has been years since we have been close, but the Ashton family has made a beautiful impact on my life. Isaac was a goofball, always making me laugh. Wether it was doing chores, studying or just hanging out, he always had a way to make it fun. He will be forever missed. My thoughts and prayers go to Wintergail, the Ashton's and all who are grieving this great loss.

I caught this sweet moment sitting behind Isaac and Wintergail at church this summer. It was a privilege to know him, even for a short time. It was obvious he loved people well, and his life impacted so many.

Isaac was a joy. The world is fundamentally better because he was here.
