Isaac Braunstein

The notice of Issie's passing reminded me of his visits to our home and our visits to his and Clara's home during my childhood in Montreal. My father, Phillip Siegel, was a friend of Issie's beginning in the 1920's when both men played violin with the orchestra that predated the Montreal Symphony. My father left the music profession in the 30's to become a pharmacist, but he and Issie remained friends and visited in each other's homes until my parents moved to Ottawa in 1967. We attended...
