Not sure what to say?

Don & Judy,
I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Your father was a wonderful man and will always be remembered for all he did for Greenville and ECU.

Very Sincerely,
Cheryl Freuler

Dear Don and the Edwards family,
I am genuinely saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Jack Edwards. He was always able to communicate from the heart, and cared about other people. Heartfelt condolences.

Mr. Jack was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever met. He was one of the best Presidents of Brook Valley Homeowners Association that we have had to date. He served with me in 1995 and was of invaluable guidance and counsel. I was unaware that he entered the Army out of high school in the middle of full hostilities.
He must have saw some bloody battles to get a brevet promotion to Second Lietenant!
He never spoke of this.
What a man, what an example for our
generation.

We were so saddened to hear of Jack's passing, but know that he continues to share his many gifts with the company of Heaven. We will all miss his warmth and grace, and are indeed grateful that he shared his gifts on earth with us at church, through the University, and elsewhere.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with you all. May God surround you with His healing peace.

Dear Mrs. Edwards, Don, Judy, and Family,
I just found out a few minutes ago about Mr. Edwards. I am so sorry and I'm sorry I didn't know sooner (I have been out of town) so I could attend his service. Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers. He was the epitome of a fine, Christian man and will be missed by everyone. May God keep his loving arms around all of you.

Miss Rachel, Nancy, Don, Judy and family:
We shall certainly miss such a wonderful person as your husband & father. Not only was he a great "Pirate", but he was also a wonderful friend to anyone that met him. I never could imagine how one person could recall so many comical stories! May he rest in peace with the Father.

I only knew Jack Edwards thru the column he wrote for The Daily Reflector. After graduating from GHS in 1947 I left Pitt County for the Air Force at age 17. His news from home was a great comfort for the next 7 years. I am so sorry that I never got to thank him personally.

I met Jack on 2-meter ham radio in 1982 when I was a young teacher in Williamston. I am the Superintendent of Wilson County Schools and president of the Rotary Club of Greater Wilson. Jack was a wonderful person and a great American.

Mrs. Edwards, Don and Judy, and Nancy,
My heart goes out to you and us all. A truly special man has gone home, with a job so well done. May we all live by his examples. My heartful prayers are with you.
