Ike, I'm sending this message again as I don't know what happened to the first one I sent. As you know, I always told you, you were the love of my love, and Angel (our mini schnauzer) was the apple of my eye.

Oh, how I miss you. Words can't even begin to describe how I feel that you aren't here any more. However, I know you're no longer in pain, and that is of comfort to me. You are my love.

Ike was a new friend who I met at the Pumping Company over lunch this year. He became a regular there and we had many nice conversations over great meals. I would often come in on duty and he liked to talk about the job.  He never mentioned being a ranger, a humble person.  He gave me a CPD jacket to give to a petite female PO, it belonged to his wife who served Chicago for a while. He spoke fondly of her. Ike will be missed by all of us.

Ike, it's so difficult to realize that you are no longer with us, but it helps to know that you are now in the kinder and pain-free world of God's Kingdom.
