Not sure what to say?

Although it has now been ten years since her death, I was just thinking of Mrs. Erickson today and remembering the terrific support and teaching I had from her. This was not at SHS, for she was no longer teaching music there when I was a student, but I took private piano lessons from her, and she coached me through Brahms and Chopin in her living room. Also, in her role as accompanist for the Springfield Community Chorus, she was a model for me as I turned her pages: as much as I was...

I had Isabella for Chorus in high school. She made us work hard and resulted in wonderful concerts. After high school I worked at Springfield High School for 30 years enjoying my connection with her. I kept in touch with her after leaving my work there over long year until shortly before she died, visiting her and sharing my memories of my travels and our mutual interested. She was such a delightful woman, always interested in the musical world. Lorraine Patch Zigman SHS Class of 1954

I will always remember my dear music teacher, known to me as Miss Perrotta, who encouraged us to love all kinds of music, not to be a "musical snob." She helped to instil in me a lifelong passion for music of almost all kinds! I will remember her with fondness, forever.

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Please find peace and comfort in Psalms 119:76.

The Springfield Senior Center will always remember her for the many hours of music she performed for us. We miss her

A truly lovely lady all the way thru, that I always admired and respected.

Mrs. Erickson was a very dear and devoted friend to my mother. They would take walks together every day, attend church together every Sunday and get together for an occasional dinner out on the town once or twice a month. She was an amazing woman who continued to contribute to the community long after her "teaching" days were done. She lived a long, full life and I am happy that my mother is now reunited with one of her very best friends. Thank you, Mrs. Erickson, for all that you did for...

When I think of Mrs. Erickson and her beloved husband Virgil, I think of them laughing and enjoying life. She was a sweet soul who always had a beautiful smile to brighten your day!

We have had the pleasure of living, for 16 years, next to the sweetest, kindest, and most wonderful soul ever to have lived. We wish we could thank you one more time for being the sun that shines over Harvard Street. We will be forever grateful to have been loved by you. Rest in peace, Isabella.
