Hebron, NY-Isabelle Allen, 87, of Hebron, went to be with the Lord on Thursday afternoon, May 3, 2012 at her residence with her loving family by her side following a long illness. Born in Hebron on January 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Mary (McEachron) Campbell. Isabelle graduated from Salem Washington Academy and was a loving mother and homemaker. She had worked for Sherwood Medical in Argyle for a couple of years. She and her husband John helped build the Truthville Christian Academy over 35 years ago. Isabelle loved to knit, crochet, attend Church and loved to listen to music. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her children, David, Naomi and Joy; her brothers, John and Pierce Campbell; her sister, Rosalynd Tourge. Isabelle is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Allen whom she married April 1, 1949; her children and their spouses, Loreen Ranney and her husband Dan of North Granville, Lenora Allen of North Granville, Lorelie Phillips and her husband David of Albany, Rachel Neely and her husband Thomas of Greenville, SC, Lorita Poole and her husband Mark of Greer, SC, Joel Allen and his wife Sue of Salem, Mary Anderson and her husband Ralph of Glens Falls, Phillip Allen of Salem and John Allen and his wife Rebecca of Whitehall. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem with Pastor Randy McKee officiating. Burial will follow the service at East Hebron Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
