I have thought of Mrs. Mahrt many times over the years. She was my first mentor as I worked at Bucher's Country Home in Swanton. She trained me to do the best job a person could do. She worked side by side with me as the nurse, but did even the most menial tasks without complaint. I was just starting out as a nurses aide, but went on to become a nurse and hopefully a better nurse for the training your mother gave me.
