Isabelle Anne Subby

Obituary

Subby, Isabelle Anne Passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2007 after a long and heroic battle with cancer. Anne was born on September 19, 1942 in Neenah, Wisconsin and resided in Stevens Point, Wisconsin for 20 years. She moved to Bloomington, MN in 1966, where she and her family resided until her death. Preceded in death by loving daughter, Laura Jane Hansen; parents, Isabelle and Robert Schroeder; brother, Robert Schroeder and just recently, sister, Deborah Chapman Enroth. Survived by beloved husband and partner in Christ, Robert (Rob) Subby; daughters, Beth Anne Hansen, Stephanie Hansen (spouse Kurt Johnson), Carrie Jacobson (spouse Greg), Sara Subby (spouse Joe) and cherished grandchildren, Sadie, Ellie, Janelle, Oscar, Evan and Samantha Jane. Also survived with love by her sisters, Frances Carew (spouse Tom) and Linda McKnight (spouse John). Anne's daughters and grandchildren were, as she often referred to them, "the stars in her crown." She will be deeply missed by her spouse, family, friends and all the community of women whose lives she so profoundly touched over her 25 years as a helping professional. She will be remembered for her deep and enduring love of God, Christ and her husband. Her boundless creativity, humor, and passion for the holidays, that tied her family together, are the signatures of her soul. Cooking, love of nature, gardening, travel and time spent relaxing at her cabin all defined her tenacious spirit. Thank you for the powerful memories and lessons you taught us in this life. Your love lives on in our hearts and will forever remain. In the words of her favorite Christmas carol: She will play her drum for you, she will play her best for you. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Fairview Hospice, especially Willie Mae Jackson. A celebration of Anne's life will be held 12 PM Saturday, August 4th with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM at Washburn-McReavy, 2300 W. Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington, MN, 952-884-8145. Memorials to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
