PETRILL, Isadore R. "Ted" "Silly Papa" - Of Goodrich, age 85, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Private family service will be held at a later date. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 12Noon-3PM and 5-8PM Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Isadore was born on November 11, 1922 in Jeannette Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Northern High School class of 1941 and continued his education at General Motors Institute G.M.I. Isadore served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. He retired from General Motors Buick Division after 37 years of service. On July 27, 1943 he married Betty Duesberry. Isadore was a Tennis Coach for Goodrich High School along with Jane Auker and was a member of Genesee Valley Tennis Club. He also belonged to Atlas Country Club and enjoyed going to Sophia's Restaurant every morning. He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Ted and his wife Judy; grandchildren, Leslie and husband Joe Holt, Laura and husband Bill Nick; he was very proud of his great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Sophia, Payton, T.J. and Alex; brother, Jack and wife Joann Petrill; brothers -in-law, Jim Massar and Lynn Wilson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty M. Petrill, grandson, Teddy; parents, Jack and Amelia; sisters, Elaine Perry, Shirley Massar and Betty Wilson and special friend, Shirley Porter.
