Isobel L. Livingstone

So sorry to read of this loss to the family. The strength from God can sustain you through this difficult time. May loving memories bring you a measure of comfort.

Miss Livingstone shared her love of music with me at Franklin School. She had the gift of making every child feel special and making each one of us believe we could sing ... and with her encouragement we did! A fine teacher and a lovely woman.

Isobel has been a good friend for over 50 years. We met in 1957 when I started teaching Kdgn in Washington School, and later, Franklin School. We took fall foliage trips, with 2 other friends, traveling in Barbara Holck Alexander's VW---Rahway to Vermont and back. When my husband and I moved to Virginia we kept in touch via phone and letters. Isobel had some troubel mastering the art of the Internet, so we couldn't email.

I was in Miss Livingstone's class in Roosevelt School. She was a great teacher and tremendous person. It is hard to find good teachers like her today. I was very lucky to have been in her classroom. My condolences to her family.
