Not sure what to say?

Ms Henry was a wonderful Woman .. Always thought about others! REST IN PEACE GREAT FRIEND!

Ivy worked for my mother in San Quentin´s Records Office in the early `60s and they became very good friends. I stayed in touch with her while I was in Vietnam and throughout most of my career with the California Department of Corrections. I was saddened to learn of her passing and wish to convey my deepest condolences to Lance and Kent and to the rest of her family and friends.

It is with a heavy heart I am conveying my sympathy and condolences to you and yours. I work together with Haunani as her executive secretary. We became friends and had many, many wonderful times. We shared so much. I loved her. Those were good times professionally and personal. I will have many cherish memories. Haunani had a wonderful life as I did being part of hers. I will miss her. RIP

Ms. Henry hired me as vocational supervisor in 1997 at Mule Creek State Prison and I am deeply appreciative of her confidence in my leadership abilities. I feel honored and fortunate to have worked with such a trailblazing woman in a male-centered workplace where she effectively managed both staff and inmates. My condolences to her family and may you find comfort in your many fond memories during this trying time.

We met Haunani through her brother John who we worked with and considered he and his wife Deon dear friends. Haunani was an icon in CDCR and shared her skills and humor with all. In her role as a consultant she visited a facility I was Director at and we shared some time together with memories and laughs. We have lost a "Good One"!

I will be gathering with the family in St. Helena to say my Aloha. I am reminded of the last gift Haunani gave me when she retired from her Warden position in 1997. It was a glass heart engraved with this sentiment "Claudine, thank you for encouraging my heart". It is my turn to say to Haunani "Mahalo Nani, for encouraging my heart for embracing me and my daughters all these years, including me in your Ohana. You will be missed, never forgotten" Mahalo nui loa, Claudine.
