Not sure what to say?

Hi Kiki, this was just found by Nancy and we are so sorry, but know that he is in a better place. As you remember, Ivan was my big brother in Pi Kappa Phi. Nancy and I have been in Houston Texas area now since 1969 and have been in a golf course subdivision for the past 27 years. We retired about 20 years ago. Looks like ya'll had a very eventful life together and will have many memories to fall back on during the coming years. Do wish that we had known earlier as we have thought about...

On the behalf on NAPS. I want to send our condolence and prayers to Ms. Butgereit and family. GOD knew what he was doing when he call Mr. Ivan home to be with him. We all will miss him indeed. Yes the stories that he once told when he bring in his cpap. He always had us on our toes and always kept a smile not only his face but ours also. Now he's and angle watching down on us and now telling his stories in Heaven. May GOD bring peace and give you the strength to carry on. Step Wms/ CPAP

There is always hope when we lose a loved one. 1Thess.4:14

I just need to say that was a very well written obituary. I did not know him and I´m sad I didn´t, but whoever wrote this has a career in journalism. I was just browsing through obituaries in Birmingham news and saw this. I was captivated and felt like I knew him. I´m praying for your family and your loss... I don´t doubt you will miss him terribly.

May God be with the family during this time of deep sorrow. Sympathy and condolences to the family. From MHS, Auburn '64.

To the family of Mr. Butgereit: I wanted you to know I just read this obituary in the AJC and you have very well honored your father, grandfather, and great grandfather. I chuckled on more then one occasion as you painted such a vivid picture of a life well-lived and well-told! Someone in the family is as good a storyteller as he. May the retelling of Mr.Butgereit's embellished tales continue to bring you happiness in the years ahead as you remember him....Michelle

Betsy and Rick: I´m so sorry for your loss. Know that you and your family are in my prayers.

Anne and family, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I know how much you loved him and will miss him. Blessings from the Garners.
