Mashtalir, Ivan "John" age 94 of NE Mpls. Was born April 3, 1911 in Stare Misto, Ukraine. Preceded in death by wife of 64 years, Anna Mashtalir. Survived by daughter, Irma (Yaroslaw) Korsunsky; granddaughter, Oksana (Steven) Panser and their sons, Danylo and Lesyk; grandson, Orest Korsunsky (Becky and her son, Nolan); great- granddaughters, Chrystynka, Stefanka and their mother, Rhonda; many relatives in Ukraine. Divine Liturgy Thursday, 9:30 am, at St Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, 515 University Ave NE, Mpls. Visitation Wednesday (TODAY), 5-8 pm with Panachyda 7 pm at Kapala-Glodek Funeral Home, 230 - 13th Ave NE, Mpls. Visitation also 1/2 hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Hillside Cemetery. My significant other and I were neighbors of John. John was a sweet man, and always had time to talk to us. He had a great garden going every year when we were neighbors. We moved to Col. Hgts. and tried to keep in touch as much as we could. I asked Tom Skroma who is John's neighbor about John when ever I could. John will be missed by many who knew him and who's lives he touched just by knowing who he was. John is at peace now and with his wife. His family is in our thoughts and prayers....
