Ivan K. Roberts

I worked with Ivan at Union Bank for a short period of time. We then became boyfriend and girlfriend, and dated for a couple of years. Ivan was very special to me. He brought light to every situation no matter how bad it was. Ivan, I miss you. You were my rock when times were tough. I will forever be your rock.

Neil has so many happy memories of you over the years and it was so special seeing you when we came to San Diego in 2001, especially the ride on the Harley! Ivan - while I didn't know you as well as I would've liked, I do know you had such a big heart - it came out in each conversation we had, the way you cared for Lumpy, and so many of your actions. Your love for people and animals will be what I remember about you, and I hope that you've found peace and relief wherever you are.

I love you so very much. You were the sunshine of my life. I miss you in so many ways, but mostly how you made my heart smile. We had so many wonderful times together; your house was my house. You will be with me always.

I remember Ivan from high school. He loved motorcycles even then. My husband Jeff knew him from the construction industry. We last saw Ivan at San Dieguito's 20 high school reunion in 1988. We always enjoyed talking with Ivan -- he had such a colorful personality. We send our sincere and prayerful condolences to his family.
