I was so very sorry to learn of Ivar's death. You and Ivar have been such good friends to my parents for so many years. I know how much my father enjoyed the singles he played with you at Queen's and always mentioned what a superb player Ivar was. Then Ivar had so many 'bon mots' and was the life and soul of the party and made a big contribution to various big birthday events. He was also very hospitable and generous; it doesn't seem that long ago that I was invited to join...
