I've lost contact with the two of you over these many years, and somehow stumbled on your dad's obit. He certainly was the best cousin I ever had. I so much enjoyed his company and that of your mother. The last time I saw him was 2000 when he came east with Jeanne to bury your grandmother. I certainly would like to know how you're doing. Dear John and Rich,
I'm sorry to read of your father's passing. He sounded like a wonderful man who led a very full life. I will not be able to attend the service but I've said some prayers. My sincere sympathy for your loss.

Rosy was a great friend and neighbor during the years we lived next door at Whispering Palms. He will be sorely missed.

Dick (Rosy to me) was a great brother-in-law. No matter how many times a year I appeared in Del Mar the door was always open. As John and Richard say in the obit, he was a great dad, always there when they might need him. His and my sister's life style (a California life style, whatever that is) influenced my mom and dad to move from CT to CA after my dad's retirement. So everytime I visited it was really old home week. I will miss him.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Rosie's passing; he was my Godfather whom I have many fond memories of. He and Aunt Barbara were very close friends to my parents, Donn & June Maurer. Living only a block and a half from each in Del Mar there were frequent visits together. I recall him as a terrific Dad to his boys John and Richard often visiting our home gym with my Dad.
