Not sure what to say?

Dear Judith, William and Warren;

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your husband and Dad. Ivar and I grew up together in Pelham Bay and we shared many special times. I also attended Stuyvesant High School and we had a lot of close friends in school and the neighborhood. Who could forget playing basketball at the gym in Tremont Terrace Church and Ivar was our star player. He had a great jump shot and could score against the best players the opponents could offer. Ivar...

I learned of Ivar's passing in the Stuyvesant H.S. Alumni Newsletter. I wish to express my condolances to Judith and Ivar's family.

Although I had not seen Ivar for more than 35 years, I can still remember his friendly, quiet smile that he always exhibited when we met.

In addition to attending Stuyvesant H.S. together (A member of the "M6 Clique"...as he signed my yearbook), we also attended and graduated CCNY together as well.

I remember him as a warm and...

I was saddened to read Ivar's obit in the Stuyvesant newsletter. I have many fond memories of visiting you folks in New Hampshire. Our condolences to Judy and the family.

We lost Rudy on May 7th, 2009.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Joan Planthaber and Family

To the Weberg family.
It was at the Jungle Warfare Training Center, Fort Sherman, in the Panama Canal Zone where I first met Ivar. When he arrived in late 1960, my active duty was almost over and I asked Ivar, if he would help me get a pictorial record of old Fort San Lorenzo at the mouth of Chagres River, one of the most romantic spots in Panama.
Ivar sacrificed an entire Saturday to take color slides of the different views (with me for human scale) of battlements, moats,...

To the Weberg family,
I met Ivar in 2004 through my position at the Merrimack Public Library. At first, I would see him almost every day when he came in to use one of our public computers, but after he got his own MAC, we saw him less frequently. He and I struck up a friendship when we found that we both had sons working in the entertainment industry. Though I knew nothing about his professional past, I could tell that he was smart and educated (not always the same thing) and I enjoyed our...

To the Weberg Family,
I was saddened to receive news from Judy that Ivar passed away. Ivar and I met on a professional basis but it wasn't long before a friendship developed. In fact, I cannot imagine anyone meeting Ivar professionally and then have the relationship end there. Vocationally he always went that "extra mile", and the warmth and generosity that was so much of his personality came through during the long conversations that he and I would share. I could tell that family was...

Dear Judy

We are so deeply saddened. We knew Ivar when he was a boy and he was a "Good Boy". We knew Ivar when he was a man and he was a "Very Good Man" that's the way it goes.

Although we spent so much time together during the high school years we regrettably did not see each other enough in later years. The memories are all there. Strong and happy when Ivar and you come into them.

We intended telling Billy and Warren that their father probably didn't brag enough about...

Dear Judy, Billy and Warren,
We were so sad to find out that Ivar passed away. We have always said you were the best neighbors we have ever had next door. We had alot of laughs and great memories. My entire family mourns his death.

Judy, Billy, Warren and Susan,
I've been thinking about each of you, often, since we lost "one of the greats."
Ivar was the man!
I've got alot of great memories about him: His appreciation of the game of hockey, when Billy and I played together in college. (Ivar and Judy were a couple of our biggest supporters. Judy brought a cowbell with her to the games, and she would ring it most loudly whenever Billy (who was hardest hitter on the team) distributed one of his patented checks. ...
